Professional Lash Extensions & Lash Trays
Lash extensions are semi-permanent fibres bonded to your natural lashes one strand at a time. Unlike strip lashes, which sit on the lash line as a single pre-made band, extensions are applied individually — which is why the diameter, curl and length you choose determines both how the finished set looks and how long it holds. Winky Beauty Lashes supplies lash artists, salons and private-label brands, and this collection is the full catalogue of every lash tray we carry.
What's in This Collection
- Classic and natural lashes — one extension per natural lash, for clients who want definition without added volume. See our classic lash trays.
- Volume and mega volume — fans from 2D up to 12D for clients who want density. Browse volume lash trays.
- Hybrid — classic strands and volume fans combined in one set, for texture with softness. See hybrid lash trays.
- Premade and easy fan — fans already made up, which cuts application time significantly. Compare premade fans and easy fan lashes.
- Flat (ellipse) lashes — a flattened base that grips the natural lash better and reads darker than a round fibre of the same weight. See ellipse flat lashes.
- Textured specials — YY and W-shaped lashes, spike lashes, camellia lashes, wet look, wispy and foxy (cat eye) trays for signature sets.
- Color — colored and ombre lashes plus brown trays for soft, custom blends.
- Bottom lashes — shorter, finer trays designed for the lower lash line. See bottom lash extensions.
How to Choose: Four Decisions in Order
1. Start with the technique, not the product. The technique sets everything else. Classic uses one extension per natural lash. Volume uses a fan of several ultra-fine extensions. Hybrid mixes the two across the same eye. If you are stocking for a salon menu, you need all three covered; if you are a mobile artist specialising in natural sets, classic and hybrid trays will carry most of your work.
2. Match diameter to the natural lash. This is the step most beginners get wrong, and it is the difference between a set that lasts four weeks and one that damages the natural lash. The rule: the more extensions you put on one natural lash, the thinner each one must be. Heavy volume fans made from thick fibre will overload the natural lash and cause premature shedding.
3. Choose curl by eye shape and lid type. Straight, downward-growing lashes need a stronger curl to hold a lift. Deep-set or hooded eyes usually need L or M curl, because a C curl will curl back into the lid. Monolid and downturned eyes typically suit D or L+.
4. Map the lengths. A full set is rarely one length. Most artists work a gradient — shorter at the inner corner, longest across the outer third — or place longer strands in spikes for a textured look. Stock at least three lengths in each curl you carry.
Diameter Guide
| Diameter | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 0.03 mm | Mega volume (6D–12D) | Lightest fibre we carry. For experienced artists only — it collapses if the fan is too large. |
| 0.05 mm | Mega volume (5D–8D) | Slightly more structure than 0.03. Good entry point into mega volume. |
| 0.07 mm | Volume (2D–6D) | The standard volume diameter. Most forgiving for learning to make fans. |
| 0.10 mm | Light volume, hybrid classic strands | Works in hybrid sets where you want the classic strand to be visible but not heavy. |
| 0.15 mm | Classic | The most common classic diameter. Suitable for most healthy natural lashes. |
| 0.20 mm | Bold classic | Use only on strong, coarse natural lashes. Too heavy for fine or sparse lashes. |
Curl Guide
| Curl | Look | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| J | Almost straight, very soft lift | Clients who want length without obvious curl; men's sets |
| B | Gentle, natural lift | Straight lashes, first-time clients |
| C | The standard, open-eyed curl | Most eye shapes; the default choice |
| CC / D | Pronounced lift, doll-eyed | Round and almond eyes; clients who want drama |
| DD | Maximum lift | Downturned lashes; editorial looks |
| L / L+ | Flat base with a sharp lift at the tip | Deep-set, hooded and monolid eyes |
| M | Straight base, softer lift than L | Hooded eyes where L reads too severe |
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do lash extensions last?
A full set typically lasts three to four weeks before it looks sparse, because extensions shed with the natural lash growth cycle. Most clients book infills every two to three weeks to keep the set full. Retention depends less on the adhesive alone than on preparation, the client's aftercare, and whether the diameter was matched to their natural lash.
What diameter should a beginner start with?
Start with 0.15 mm for classic sets and 0.07 mm for volume. Both are forgiving: 0.15 mm is thick enough to pick up and place without collapsing, and 0.07 mm fans hold their shape while you position them. Avoid 0.03 mm until your fan-making is consistent.
Can you mix classic and volume lashes in one set?
Yes — that is exactly what a hybrid set is. The usual approach is to place classic strands along the lash line for structure and volume fans in the gaps for density and texture. Hybrid is a good option for clients whose natural lashes are too sparse for full volume but who find classic too subtle.
How many extensions go on one eye?
A classic set typically uses 80–140 extensions per eye, depending on how many healthy natural lashes the client has. Volume sets use fewer attachments but more fibres per attachment, since each fan contains several strands. Never exceed what the natural lash can carry — the limit is the client's lash health, not the look.
How do I choose between flat and round lashes?
Flat (ellipse) lashes have an oval cross-section instead of a round one. At the same diameter they cover more surface area, so they bond over a longer contact length and read darker — which means you can get the look of a 0.20 mm round lash at close to the weight of a 0.15 mm. They are a strong choice for clients with fine natural lashes who still want a defined lash line.
