Foxy Lash Extensions — The Fox-Eye Lift, Built from YY and L-Curl Trays
Foxy lash extensions create the fox-eye look: lashes that sweep upward and outward, elongating the eye and reading like winged liner without any makeup. The effect comes from mapping — shorter lengths through the inner and middle eye, then longer, lifted fibres at the outer corner — and from curls that point up and out instead of curling back. This collection brings together the trays Winky Beauty artists use for fox-eye sets: pre-shaped Foxy YY and W shapes, L-family curls that lift straight lashes, and softer brown options for a natural fox finish.
What's in This Collection
Foxy YY Shape (0.07 mm, black and brown). Our signature foxy tray: a YY unit whose tips angle outward, so a standard pick-up already leans toward the fox-eye direction. Two fibres per side give a woven, textured base with a lifted finish.
5D Wild Fox YY. A denser five-fibre YY for clients who want the fox shape with real darkness along the lash line — the dramatic end of the range.
LU Curl Brown YY and 3DW / 4DW / 5DW. LU curl has a flat base and a sharp upward lift, made for straight or downward-growing lashes where standard curls lose the fox angle within days. In brown, these trays give the lifted shape in a softer tone for fair clients.
How Artists Map a Fox-Eye Set
Work in three zones. Inner corner: short lengths (8–10 mm) in a standard curl to keep the eye open. Middle: your base texture — YY or W units for density. Outer third: switch to L or LU curl and step lengths up (12–14 mm) so the corner visibly lifts and extends. The mistake to avoid is length without lift: long fibres in a strong round curl droop at the corner and read as cat-eye heaviness, not fox. Keep the longest points at the very outer edge and let the curl do the wing.
Foxy vs. Wispy vs. Cat-Eye
All three use texture, but the direction differs. Wispy breaks the top line with spikes all along the eye — the texture is vertical. Cat-eye lengthens the outer corner in standard curls for a sultry, elongated look. Foxy combines outer-corner length with an upward L-curl lift, so the eye looks both longer and more open. If your client shows you fox-eye photos, reach for this page; if they want feathery spikes everywhere, start with our wispy lash extensions instead — many artists blend the two, wispy through the middle and foxy at the corner.
Foxy Lashes FAQ
Which curl is best for fox-eye sets?
L and LU curls. Their flat base and straight-then-lifted profile point the fibre outward and up, which is the whole fox effect. C and D curls can work on the inner two-thirds.
Do foxy trays come in brown?
Yes — the Foxy YY and the LU-curl YY and W shapes come in brown for a softer, sun-kissed fox look.
Can I build a fox-eye set with regular YY trays?
You can approximate the mapping with standard Y and W shape trays, but the angled tips and L-family curls in this collection hold the lifted corner better.
