YY Lash Extensions — Two Fans in a Single Pick-Up
YY lash extensions are pre-shaped fans: two Y-shaped units bonded at the base, giving four fibres in a woven criss-cross pattern from one pick-up. You place them like a classic single lash, but they cover like a light volume fan — which is why YY trays have become the shortcut for textured, fluffy sets that still apply fast. YY vs. W vs. WW — What's the Difference?
YY — two Y units crossed at the base. Four fibres, a woven look, and a wider bonding area that many artists find gives strong retention. The finish is textured and slightly spiky.
W — a single three-fibre unit in a W profile. Lighter and more open than YY; a true 3D fan without hand-making.
WW — two W units bonded (3D, 4D and 5D versions here), doubling coverage for clients who want density closer to a volume set.

Yes — one YY unit per natural lash, dipped and placed like a classic extension. No fan-making, no multiple pick-ups.
How long do YY sets last?
The woven base wraps more of the natural lash than a round single fibre, so retention is typically at least as good as classic — with correct prep and adhesive.
