Flat Lash Extensions — Ellipse Fibres That Grip, Wrap and Read Darker
Flat lash extensions — also called ellipse lashes — are classic fibres flattened into an oval cross-section instead of a round one. The wider, slightly concave base sits flush against the natural lash, which gives two practical advantages: a larger bonding area for retention, and a fibre that looks thicker and darker than a round lash of the same weight. This collection stocks ellipse flat trays in 0.15 mm and 0.20 mm, in black and brown, including bottom-lash lengths and L-family curls.
Why Artists Switch to Flat Lashes
Better retention. The flat base wraps the natural lash rather than balancing on top of it, so sets commonly outlast round classic fibres applied the same way.
More impact per fibre. A 0.15 mm flat lash reads on the eye like a thicker round lash, while weighing less — definition without overloading fine natural lashes.
A softer, matte finish. The split tip of an ellipse fibre catches less glare than a glossy round fibre, reading more like natural lash and mascara.
What's on This Page
Standard-curl ellipse trays in 0.15 mm and 0.20 mm are the classic-set workhorses. Brown ellipse versions give the same grip in a softer tone. Ellipse flat bottom lashes are cut and curled for lower-lash work. The L, L+ and M curl ellipse trays combine the flat base with lifted curls made for straight or hooded lashes, where a round fibre in a standard curl would point down.
Flat vs. Round Classic Lashes
If your classic sets already retain well and clients like a glossy finish, round fibres from our classic lash extensions remain the standard. Choose flat when retention is the complaint, when a client wants a darker lash line from 1:1 application, or when natural lashes are fine and cannot carry a heavier round fibre. Both are applied one-to-one with the same isolation and adhesive — see our lash glue range for 1-second and 3-second options.
Flat Lash FAQ
Can flat lashes be used for volume fans?
No — ellipse fibres are made for classic 1:1 placement. For fans, use the volume lash extensions range.
Do flat lashes feel heavier?
They feel lighter than they look: a flat 0.15 mm weighs less than a round 0.15 mm because the cross-section is hollowed.
